Beta Releases and Ready-to-Use Kits Deliver Superior AI Performance, Cost Efficiency and Ease of Use, Cementing Company’s Leadership in Graph Technology
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — April 30, 2024 — TigerGraph, provider of a leading ML and AI graph analytics platform, today announced its TigerGraph CoPilot beta, an AI assistant that combines the power of generative AI with that of graph databases to deliver answers and insights more easily and with greater accuracy than either can do alone. In addition, TigerGraph also announced the TigerGraph Cloud 4.0 beta, which has been rearchitected to be cloud-native to deliver greater elasticity and lower cost of ownership. Rounding out the new offerings are Solution Kits that help businesses more rapidly gain value from their graph database. Altogether, these additions and enhancements deliver an ideal solution for innovative midmarket customers to lower their operating costs while improving productivity and AI performance.
TigerGraph also announced today that Hamid Azzawe will take the helm as the company’s new CEO. Azzawe, who joined TigerGraph last year as vice president of product, has extensive experience in product management and engineering at marquee-name companies like Microsoft, Amazon and Meta.
“TigerGraph is uniquely qualified to lead the market with its innovations in graph technology,” said Azzawe. “It’s clearly an exciting time at TigerGraph, and I look forward to building on the company’s already solid foundation in the years to come, starting with these latest beta releases.”
TigerGraph CoPilot Beta
TigerGraph CoPilot combines two of the most powerful technologies for extracting value from a knowledge base — LLMs and graph databases. This combination delivers superior AI performance — more accuracy and greater contextual relevance. It features:
Natural language inquiry. The product’s natural-language and auto-execution capabilities empower non-technical users to focus on mining insights from their data through an AI assistant that they can “talk” to rather than having to learn a new technology or language. When a question is posed in natural language, TigerGraph CoPilot determines the best available query needed to answer the question, runs the query, and returns the results in natural language, graph visualizations and other views.
Graph-augmented generative AI. TigerGraph CoPilot creates chatbots with augmented AI on a user’s own documents. The tool builds a knowledge graph from source material and applies knowledge graph RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) to improve the contextual relevance and accuracy of answers to their natural-language questions.
Reliable and responsible AI. TigerGraph CoPilot mitigates hallucination issues by allowing LLMs to access the graph database via curated queries. It also adheres to the same role-based access control and security measures (already part of the TigerGraph database) to assure responsible AI. TigerGraph CoPilot also enables transparency by open-sourcing its major components and allowing users to choose their LLM service.
High scalability and performance. By leveraging the TigerGraph database — the most scalable and performant platform for connected data — TigerGraph CoPilot runs graph analytics and obtains insights from a graph much faster than other LLM-graph solutions. As a graph-RAG solution, it is able to utilize knowledge bases at a much larger scale than other knowledge graph-powered Q&A solutions.
TigerGraph Cloud 4.0 Beta + Solution Kits
Offered through AWS Marketplace, TigerGraph Cloud 4.0 graph database-as-a-service (DBaaS) offers higher performance and lower cost of operation by empowering users to select and tune their compute and storage resources elastically and separately from one another. It’s the only graph DBaaS that allows users to scale out their data storage horizontally (up to 100+ TB) and independently scale out compute resources within one workspace. It features:
Separation of storage and compute. With TigerGraph Cloud 4.0, users have the power to scale their compute and storage resources independently and elastically. By separating the resources, users can get exactly what they need: more computing power to handle a heavier workload or more storage to handle increased data.
Multiple isolated workspaces. TigerGraph Cloud 4.0 introduces compute workspaces that share a common data store. Each workspace is a separate environment with its own graph database engine having its own memory and processing resources. With this setup, users can tailor and optimize workspaces for online analytical processing and others for real-time online transactional processing workloads.
Streamlined Data Ingestion. Now, users can ingest data from more sources with even greater ease. Using built-in connectors and a unified workflow for local files, AWS S3, Azure Blob storage, GCP Cloud storage, Spark, Snowflake, Postgres, Kafka and BigQuery, TigerGraph Cloud 4.0 can automatically detect formats, schemas and mappings. This streamlines the data-loading process and enables auto-schema and mapping generation, making it convenient to leverage existing data assets for graph analytics.
Included with TigerGraph Cloud 4.0 are Solution Kits — prepackaged, ready-to-use graph applications for key use cases. Each Solution Kit contains a graph schema, queries and UI, as well as the required ML and graph features that guide the user through the processes of importing their own data, running the application and seeing the results. With these Solution Kits, businesses will be able to reduce the time and costs associated with developing graph solutions for specific use cases, thus more rapidly gaining value from their graph database.
“With these beta releases, TigerGraph is taking another giant step forward in AI integration and accuracy, cost efficiency, and ease of use,” said Azzawe. “These are exciting times for TigerGraph as we continue to push the boundaries of innovation in graph technology.”

Join Us at Our Virtual Graph + AI Summit 2024
This year’s Graph + AI Summit is right around the corner on May 1-2, providing a virtual meeting place for organizations and individuals to learn how to leverage the latest advances in graphs and AI. The Summit will discuss what’s holding back development and deployment of graph-powered solutions and first- and second-generation graph technology, such as:
- High cost of ownership
- Inability to distribute and query data across multiple clusters for datasets larger than a terabyte
- Long lead times to build due to lack of out-of-the-box solutions for the most common use cases
Attendees will learn how the TigerGraph Graph Database and Analytics Platform eliminates these constraints. Join us on May 1-2! Sign up today to reserve your spot.
